Our 2019 application round is now completed will all positions filled. Information on applications for 2020 will appear on our website early in the new year.
We welcome applications from students wishing to undertake a PhD in the Astrophysics Research Centre starting in September/October 2019. We expect to have up to eight fully funded PhD studentships, details below. These funded positions are only available for students fulfilling UK national requirements (either UK nationals, or have been in the UK for the last 3 years for a purpose which is not full-time education). Self-funding students or students with their own international funding grants are also very welcome to apply :

International self-funded students should consult these pages and links for tuition fees. If you are a non-EU student, with your own funding we require an annual fee of (currently) £20,300. This annual fee applies to both PhD and MPhil programs. Note that you will also need living expenses of around £15,000 per year.
